Staff were so helpful, we had called for an early check in a few weeks prior and when we arrived our room wasn’t ready staff allowed us to use another room to get ready for a wedding and moved all of our bags to the new room! The manager on duty was super helpful and credit to the hotel.

Oh, my, god, those beds. I don't know what they were made of, but I just wanted to stay there forever. This stay is a small family-owned business, the owners were very nice and friendly, they offered to help us warm up our dinner and prepared an amazing breakfast for us too. The house is freshly renovated and it was done very well and with taste. We actually spent a lot of time just looking around and enjoying how well the renovations and decorations were done. Very much appreciated!

Friendly welcome from host(s) who obviously enjoy their role. Nicely presented room with all amenities, fridge stocked with milk and bottled water, kettle and plenty of tea and coffee was a nice touch as well.
It's our home town & we were there visiting family.

The harbour area is lovely to wander and pause for a coffee. The beach has an extended walk way, but it's mostly a pebble beach. There's an open air swimming pool for warmer months, and several places to eat including excellent fish and chips! The area around the market square has a lovely range of small independent shops to explore.

Stonehaven is a beautiful seaside town located just twenty minutes by train south of Aberdeen. I can highly recommend visiting the old town siuated around the harbour and old pier which by far are the most attractive parts. Also highly worth visiting is Dunnotter Castle which is just thirty minutes walk south of the town. On the way to the castle you pass a war memorial atop of a hill which is also worth a visit. I also visited Dunnotter Church. Unfortunately the chutch itself was locked, however the graveyard was very peaceful and picturesque. And as a bonus Stonehaven claims to be the birthplace of the battered Mars Bar, which you can sample if you so wish...

We visited Stonehaven to experience the Fire Ball event at Hogmanay. This is the second time we have been and it most definitely did not disappoint. It was fabulous.
It is quite a small town and over New Year a lot of restaurants and pubs were shut but this is to be expected.
We really liked the Ship Inn at the harbour and the Market Inn on the Market Square. There were a couple of nice gift shops and easy access to the beach.
There is a bus running between Stonehaven and Aberdeen which we would have taken had we more time. There is also a castle close by (you would need a car).
The locals are really friendly and make you very welcome.
Overall I would recommend Stonehaven and look forward to returning in the better weather to experience more of what is on offer.

The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm.
The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm. The castle is a bit of an uphill struggle, however there is a bus. Unfortunately if you suffer from vertigo it probably won't be for you.
We've been told that it is great for watching dolphins and seeing the Northern lights unfortunately we didn't see either but it is a great place to go. We'll certainly be back.

It’s a lovely friendly town , plenty of cafes and individuals shops . It has a good beachfront and you can walk to the castle . We enjoyed the walk but found the actual castle a bit underwhelming and it’s quite expensive for a family , it doesn’t have a cafe or gift shop and the toilets left a lot to be desired , when we go back we’ll just do the walk and take a picnic for down at the beach . The kids loved the park beside the leisure centre and Aunty Betty’s ice cream shop was a hit
Comfortable, clean room and ensuite bathroom. The hosts were friendly & helpful & nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The access to the kitchen, washing machine & tumble dryer was much appreciated. The self-help breakfast was plentiful & had a good selection. It could be taken at a time to suit the guest, which was great if one wanted to have a lie-in. Location was good and within easy reach of places if interest etc. It was also in a quiet area. I will definitely stay here again if in Stonehaven.
We stayed for 2 nights at Bayview bed and breakfast to do a costal walk to Dunnottar Castle and Fowlsheugh and this was the absolutely perfect place to stay.
Large room, super comfortable bed, great selection of breakfast options and in an excellent location.
The host David was excellent and super helpful when we had a query about the heating and he came round immediately to sort it out.
For anyone looking to stay in Stonehaven, I would 1000% recommend you stay here.
The rooms were small but they had been recently remodeled and the bed was very comfortable. The pub was a fairly popular place with the locals and was never empty. The restaurant food was very good. They had a limited menu for the free breakfast but the food was very good. The hotel is right on the beach. About a two mile hike one way along the ocean cliffs to a castle.
The couple running the hotel were so lovely and accommodating. The room was very cozy and had all the amenities. They also provide some vegan options for breakfast which was really nice with soy milk as an alternative as well. The area was really quiet and we were able to have a peaceful night. The hotel/home looks like a mini castle which was wonderful too.
Lovely, cozy cottage. Right by the harbour, with some views. Very central, and on walk to castle. Beds were the most comfy we had tried. Nice to have a separate kitchen, dining room and lounge. 20 mins walk from train station. Well-stocked Co-op, farm foods and tesco express in town. Ate twice at the Marine hotel. Good food and amazing views
Lovely Bed & Breakfast in Stonehaven. Was able to easily retrieve key after hours with exterior lockbox. Well maintained lovely home. Living room area on first floor is nice extra. Included breakfast was fantastic with many selections provided from the menu. Staff were very hospitable.
We stayed for 3 nights with our 5 year old granddaughter. Comfortable well furnished and equipped and quiet apartment. Nice welcome pack .Good communication with owner about key and parking. We were familiar with Stonehaven so knew the location was close to sea and town centre.
This is our second time here its just a beautiful relaxing place we love the walks along the sea front the small tolbooth museum is very
interesting the harbour is a great place to sit and watch everything thats going on love stonehaven
Big apartment right in the heart of Stonehaven. 2 minute walk to the beach. There's a supermarket literally next door and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment has a kitchen and everything else you might need.
A very clean hotel and across the street from train station. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are newly redone and very pretty. Restaurant was good and spacious.
Lovely setting on the harbour at Stonehaven. Great friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good food in the bar and restaurant, staff always managed to get us a table despite being very busy.
This place is lovely had the little room at side of thd house it one of best little rooms I've stayed in on travels around Aberdeenshire area will dfo use again if I'm in the area
Great location and dog friendly. Budget hotel clean room and toilet. Adequate for our needs. Can’t comment on breakfast because it’s under new management and they have no chef.
Everything really..the home was beautiful. Two large bathrooms, two bedrooms and a wonderful living area. The kitchen had all we needed and more along with an extra little gift.
The hotel was in a really good location and parking was available at nearby locations. The sea view room provide incredible views of the beach/sea and Stonehaven.
The room with the view to the sea was lovely and the breakfast was exceptional. The hosts were friendly and gave us information about the area and restaurants.
